Define Lighting

Products

All of our products do conform to the British and EU standards and are supplied with a 12 month warranty. Full information is supplied with all products on the appropriate wattage of bulbs to be used. Please ensure that you use the information given and only use the products recommended for the fittings.

Faulty goods

Any damages or faults to products must be reported to Define Lighting within 7 working days of the delivery (working days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays). Faulty or damaged goods will be refunded or replaced. Define Lighting will not be liable for costs incurred because of faulty goods such as electricians fees, personal time to deal with the issue etc.

Pricing

We try to ensure that our prices are competitive for our customers, we are aware that there are times when large national companies are able to negotiate very competitive reductions and are therefore able to offer better offers. If you do see a fitting at a better price then please let us know and we will do all we can to match the offer or if we are unable to do that will cancel your order as a courtesy gesture.

Define Lighting work with both retail and trade customers.
For this reason the website displays the VAT price. VAT is currently rated at 20%.
If you are quoted with a special price that will be valid for a maximum of 14 days - unless stated at the time. After that time you should contact us again to confirm if that is still available.

Making Payment

Payment is due within five working days of the invoice date. There are several ways for you to pay your invoice including:

Website: Any goods which are on the website can be ordered and paid for using the website. Paypal: You are able to pay any invoice at any point by loggining in the your account via the website, and browse to the invoice you wish to pay and make payment.

On line payment: Define Lighting chooses to use Paypal to ensure our customers receive online security. For more information about Paypal please see their website at www.paypal.co.uk

Goods will not be dispatched until payment is received.

Buying from the website: To be eligible to buy from the website you must provide us with your name, address, phone number, email address and payment details.
You must be over the age of 18 years old and have sufficient funds to purchase the goods.

Cancelling Orders:

A customer has the right to cancel their order within three working day of making the order.

Specially Ordered and bespoke fittings

Because of the dimensions or weight of some of the fittings we have we are unable to store them on site. For this reason we do have to negotiate with the manufacturer in regard to stock and delivery. If cancellation occurs after we have ordered the fitting with the manufacturer a fee may be charged for cancelling.

Bespoke fittings are available through Define Lighting. If you are interested in this facility please contact us for more information. Once your order has been made work starts on making the fittings for this reason cancelling the order would result in a cancellation fee.

Although all care is given to ensure the information we give our customers is correct and up to date there are times when things beyond our control happen. No assurances can be given that the information or material on this website is up-to-date, accurate, error-free or complete. We reserve the right to withdraw products from the site as and when is required. If this happens we may have to terminate an order however we will do all we can not to do that if at all possible.

Installation

All of our fittings must be installed by an appropriately qualified electrician and follow the instructions as supplied. Please note: incorrect installation can deem the warranty to be invalid.
